This revision contains input from the India Hub. The goal of this effort was to make the TL 9000 design requirements more clearly applicable to any software development methodology along with updating two design requirements to reflect current concerns. This point release modifies two requirements in section 8.3, rewords four requirements and corrects the terminology in another. Please note, due to the two changed requirements, upgrade to R6.2 is mandatory.
This release along with is the material in the R6.1 Point Release and the original
R6.0 Handbook comprise the latest TL 9000 Quality Management System Requirements.

The TL 9000 Quality Management System (QMS) Requirements Handbook R6.1 is the seventh release revision of the TL 9000 standard published by the TIA Business Performance Community (formerly QuEST Forum). Release 6.1 of the TL 9000 Requirements Handbook is unique in that only a few wording changes have been made to the TL 9000:2016 (R6) version to improve the clarity of intent for selected requirements and enhance their ease of use for organizations using the latest software design methodologies. This release is equivalent to the R6 release and it contains no mandatory changes for those organizations already certified to TL 9000 R6.
This handbook is the definitive guide for implementing a quality management system with ten
sections, glossary and reference appendix.

The TL 9000:2016 (R6) Quality Management System (QMS) Requirements Handbook is the sixth revision of the TL 9000 standard published by TIA Business Performance Community (formerly QuEST Forum). Release 6.0 of the TL 9000 Requirements Handbook includes the new ISO 9001:2015 format and language along with clarifications, modifications, deletions and additions to the ICT industry specific added requirements and notes.
This handbook is the definitive guide for implementing a quality management system with ten sections, glossary and reference appendix.
Note: The Requirements Handbooks are being offered without the ISO text to reduce the cost for those organizations which already have a copy of ISO 9001:2015.
