TL 9000 Logo

In February, the new TL 9000 logo was enthusiastically approved at the Annual Meeting.  The goal in redesigning it was to create a strong separate identity for the TL 9000 brand.  The previous TL 9000 logo was simply the QuEST Forum logo with the words TL 9000 underneath.  The new logo looks like this:

TL 9000 Logo

The use of the logo will communicate that the processes used in the production of that product or service conform to TL 9000 standards for that product category.   It may be incorporated on letterheads, brochures and other promotional materials like banners, flags, buildings or vehicles when it is accompanied by the TL 9000 certificate number.   In this context, it provides information about the quality of the execution processes used in the creation of a particular product or service.  Organizations may continue to use the old logo, but are encouraged to phase in the new one as soon as possible.

The logo is only intended to communicate that products were created using a TL 9000 registered quality management system, not that the product itself meets a particular standard.  For that reason, the TL 9000 logo shall not be used on manufactured product labeling, packaging, trade samples, or other statements of product conformity.  Specific requirements concerning the use of the logo are in Section 3.4 of the Requirements Handbook.

Misuse of the TL 9000 logo may be grounds for withdrawal of certification.  If certification is revoked, the certificate holder shall immediately discontinue all use and distribution of any letterheads, promotional material bearing the TL 9000 logo, and any claims to certification.

You must have a TL 9000 certified registration to use the TL 9000 logo and also have an account on the TL 9000 Registration Management System to acquire the logos. To download the approved TL 9000 logo in formats suitable for print and web use, log into the TL 9000 Portal and select TL 9000 RMS from the left side menu. If you are eligible to obtain the TL 9000 logo you will see a link to TL 9000 Logos under Resources in the center of the page..

For additional detailed information about the standard, please refer to the Requirements Handbook, Section 3.4.
